I am hoping to connect with any CTRS's who work in the mental health field. We are trying to start a bench marking project here at Mayo to see what other psychiatric facilities are providing for Recreation Therapy, both inpatient and outpatient areas. If you would be willing to share through email just a little bit about your department, please contact me or leave a message here and I will get back to you with my questions. If you have any contacts at other facilities, feel free to pass those on to me as well. I will be glad to share any results with people if interested. Thanks in advance for all your help!   Rachel Fuhrmeister, CTRS, fuhrmeister.rachel@mayo.edu

I am looking for curriculum surrounding hobby development or leisure education type groups. Are there any websites or textbooks that are instructional and helpful for folks like me who are new to the field?

I did find this link  https://sites.temple.edu/rtwiseowls/ Which seemed to have other random information if anybody wants to check it out, I thought I would share!

Thanks in advance for any advice that anyone can share!

I will be taking over supervision of program staff at my facility in the next couple of months. Currently the program staff are all OTs (seasoned OTs who all hold bachelor's degrees like myself) and there has been some question as to whether a TR can supervise OT staff. At my last facility, an OT supervised both OT and TR so I don't see where the issue is given my experience with the program we are implementing.  I am the content expert in relation to the program we are implementing and have demonstrated more than satisfactory skills in this area.  I'm looking for examples of other facilities that might have a similar leadership structure (TR supervising other therapies) or any thoughts I can use to support my supervisor's decision on this move    Thank you!

Does anyone use Epic for their documentation at their facility?  We are switching to Epic at Mayo and I was wondering if people who used it had templates set up for documentation? We are in the process of setting up these templates and I am hoping to find some resources.  Please email me if you are familiar with Epic.
